Systems Consultant/Engineering Director oversees the design of enablement plans and configuration specifications and installation operations to implement integrated hardware and software systems and products purchased by customers. Develops standard processes and methodologies to prototype and test proposed solutions for feasibility, reliability, and quality. Being an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director directs the development of program and system specifications to meet customers' technical requirements and guide the enablement, configuration, or coding of products and solutions. Ensures the delivery of technical information, documentation, requirements, and cost estimates to sales teams to use in proposals, quotes, and statements of work meet sales cycle and project timeline requirements. Additionally, Systems Consultant/Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Systems Consultant/Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. We are currently searching for two (2) experienced MRI technologists to provide mobile Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to the 82d Medical Group (MDG), Sheppard Air Force Base (SAFB) TX76311. The MRI technologists will schedule and perform a variety of MRI examinations for Government beneficiaries. Exams will be provided to the 82 MDG for interpretation and transcription. Performance will be according to the requirements contained in the Government’s Performance Work Statement (PWS) and be in compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Infection Control, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Health Service Inspection (HSI) standards, and all local 82 TRW and MDG policies.  MRI examinations to include Neurological, Musculoskeletal, and Body imaging, Magnetic Resonance Arteriography and Venography. Notify MDG staff and the interpreting radiologist of significant scans requiring immediate attention or visualization while patient is undergoing examination.  Expect a range of 30 – 135 MRI examinations per month.


    Mandatory Qualifications:
     
    • Graduation from a radiography program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiological Education (JRCERT).
    • Current registration as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist.
    • Must hold and maintain current certification in Magnetic Resonance with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Have a minimum of one (1) year of MRI Technologist experience within the last two (2) years of performing MRIs with any form of MRI equipment.
    • Must possess and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).


    Duties & Responsibilities:
     
    • Perform routine diagnostic radiological procedures/services as appropriate.
    • Adhere to radiation safety policies and procedures in accordance with Radiology Department policies and procedures.
    • Send appropriate image series to the radiologist for reading according to Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) protocol.
    • Correctly position the patient for the examination and make technical adjustments necessary for the required examination. Determine if any special patient preparation is required.
    • Process digital images and submit for interpretation by radiologists.
    • Document all procedures and maintain records in accordance with MTF policy.
    • As directed, perform system calibrations and quality control tasks according to the manufacturer and MTF policy. Recognize artifacts and equipment errors and notify designated Government personnel of outlying values.
    • Initiate repair call procedures for equipment malfunctions by notifying designated Government personnel. Report problems to the Biomedical Repair Section and record the problem condition in the trouble call logbook.
    • Observe and report to the radiologist any symptoms which have direct bearing on the patient's condition as a result of adverse reaction to contrast media and inform the radiologist of any condition requiring his/her attention. Recognize the need for and institute the necessary emergency measures for situations where a person requires resuscitation procedures due to cardiac or respiratory arrest.


    Work Location:

    Work will be performed at Sheppard AFB, TX 76311 within the Reef Systems Mobile MRI Unit.


    Work Schedule:

    Duty hours will vary between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, depending on the patients scheduled Monday – Friday, excluding holidays and down/family days.  This will very be depending on the workload, but in no case will exceed 10 hours per day.
