Systems Consultant/Engineering Director oversees the design of enablement plans and configuration specifications and installation operations to implement integrated hardware and software systems and products purchased by customers. Develops standard processes and methodologies to prototype and test proposed solutions for feasibility, reliability, and quality. Being an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director directs the development of program and system specifications to meet customers' technical requirements and guide the enablement, configuration, or coding of products and solutions. Ensures the delivery of technical information, documentation, requirements, and cost estimates to sales teams to use in proposals, quotes, and statements of work meet sales cycle and project timeline requirements. Additionally, Systems Consultant/Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Systems Consultant/Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Position Summary:

    The Director of Commercial Operations will be critical in scaling our Commercial Operations to support Heartland Business Systems forward as we continue our rapid growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for streamline entirety of our Supply Chain to maximize our efficiency and drive interdepartmental collaboration and execution. This position will take full advantage of all distribution programs and partnerships to ensure scalability within our ERP systems. The Director of Commercial Operations will ensure alignment, accountability, and operational rigor across the organization.


    Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:

    • Partner with Director of Business Operations to define, change, and optimize our ConnectWise system to ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction within our Quote to Cash Cycle.
    • Foster the development and maintenance of business relationships with distribution partners.
    • Evaluate areas of friction or Commercial Business process inefficiencies in the business and implement solutions.
    • Work with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and manage a collaborative team to implement solutions.
    • Build strong relationships within the organization and influence departmental leaders across the organization to foster collaboration, improve decision making, and increase speed and agility of business process.
    • Develop Product Catalog to ensure accurate vendor reporting to maximize soft dollar targets.
    • Collaborate with departmental leaders to develop dashboards and processes to maximize effectiveness.
    • Drive special projects ranging from strategic discussions at the staff level to other opportunities. Work across departments to accomplish goals.
    • Build a high performing Business Operations capability that drives the rhythm of the business.
    • Lead and mentor a team devoted to continuous improvement of business processes.
    • Collaborate with Business Operations to ensure integrity of system data and integration to company ERP system in alignment with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

    • Ethical: Ethics looks at the ability of the individual to be guided by the company’s accepted principles of moral conduct. 
    • Reliability: Reliability looks at the ability of the individual to be dependable and trustworthy. 

    Required Experience:

    • 10 years of Supply Chain or related experience
    • 5 year experience implementing process change in operations

    Preferred Experience:

    • 15 years of Operations leadership
    • 5 years of ERP and operational change leadership
    • M&A systems consolidation and reconciliation

    Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration
    • Proficient Microsoft Suite Skills, Data Integration, Process Flow
