Systems Consultant/Engineering Director oversees the design of enablement plans and configuration specifications and installation operations to implement integrated hardware and software systems and products purchased by customers. Develops standard processes and methodologies to prototype and test proposed solutions for feasibility, reliability, and quality. Being an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director directs the development of program and system specifications to meet customers' technical requirements and guide the enablement, configuration, or coding of products and solutions. Ensures the delivery of technical information, documentation, requirements, and cost estimates to sales teams to use in proposals, quotes, and statements of work meet sales cycle and project timeline requirements. Additionally, Systems Consultant/Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Systems Consultant/Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     We are currently seeking a Director of Accounting. This position will be based at one of our key locations in either Salisbury, NC, Lincoln, NE or Costa Mesa, CA corporate office.

    Overview

    The Director of Accounting will report to the VP Finance and will lead company-wide accounting consolidation, reporting and treasury functions. This is a high visibility and cross-functional role and includes oversight of a corporate and shared services accounting and payroll.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Create, update and maintain financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
    • Prepare and present regular reports and presentations reviewed by senior management and the company’s Board.
    • Ensure timely financial close working with accounting managers and corporate accounting staff; oversee consolidation of financial results; familiarity with multi-currency consolidation and ERP environment.
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of corporate financial reporting, ERP systems and planning and budgeting efforts.
    • Report financials to Norwegian parent company working to public company timeliness.
    • Manage the reporting and required legal filings.
    • Ensure that all corporate and required accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization; work to align and standardize processes and procedures across locations.
    • Support treasury operations including liquidity optimization and managing relationships with company’s banks.
    • Take the lead in liaising with external auditors.
    • Manage and develop Accounting organization.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field.
    • CPA preferred.
    • “Big Four” or national accounting firm audit experience is preferred.
    • At least 5 years of relevant experience including leading a team of accountants and addressing senior management.
    • Strong financial modeling skills including ability to forecast cash, revolver and debt levels.
    • Strong business acumen and communication skills required.
    • Strong project management skills required.
    • Experienced user of larger ERP systems and financial reporting platforms.
    • Power user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI or similar.
