Systems Consultant/Engineering Director oversees the design of enablement plans and configuration specifications and installation operations to implement integrated hardware and software systems and products purchased by customers. Develops standard processes and methodologies to prototype and test proposed solutions for feasibility, reliability, and quality. Being an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director directs the development of program and system specifications to meet customers' technical requirements and guide the enablement, configuration, or coding of products and solutions. Ensures the delivery of technical information, documentation, requirements, and cost estimates to sales teams to use in proposals, quotes, and statements of work meet sales cycle and project timeline requirements. Additionally, Systems Consultant/Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Systems Consultant/Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     In this department head role, you plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry departments.

    Education & Experience :

    • High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
    • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity with experience in laundry, housekeeping or maintenance in an acute or long-term care environment.
    • Training in operation of laundry, housekeeping and maintenance equipment.
    • Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
    • Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints and be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.

    Specific Requirements :

    • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
    • Must be licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.
    • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
    • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel and the general public.
    • Must be knowledgeable of housekeeping and laundry practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing these functions in a skilled nursing facility.
    • Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel.
    • Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.

    • Serves on-call for emergencies and off-duty hours.
    • Represents department at pertinent facility meetings and in various capacities.
    • Supervises department personnel including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, orienting, evaluating, and disciplining.
    • Must possess the ability to carry out programs in repair, new construction and equipment installation.
    • Possess sufficient mechanical abilities to handle facility preventative maintenance with little outside contract use.
