Systems Capacity Analyst jobs in Richmond, VA

Summary/Objective

Shaw Systems is a national software development company that has an established record of solid financial performance and an excellent reputation for providing quality products. We are seeking a motivated individual to work as a Sr. Business Systems Analyst with our credit-based financial software products that run on multiple platforms. This position will be responsible for providing technical product support to clients, as well as troubleshooting software application issues. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience supporting clients/customers in Commercial and Small Business loans and lines. Operational experience in the related to the Commercial and Small Business Loan industry is a huge plus!

Responsibilities

• Has a strong understanding of the business application(s) and works with higher level staff or technical support to understand and resolve complex application software problems
• Able to do the research and testing that is necessary to answer basic customer inquires
• Analyze and document client needs and business processes
• Able to manage multiple tasks concurrently when priorities are provided
• Responsible for communicating directly to customers on progress of issues
• Responsible for testing system enhancements and assisting clients with implementing new business features
• Ability to work in a supporting role as team environment with developers, testers and designers
• Ability to provide software business/operational training to clients
• Strong experience with requirements gathering and writing specs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required or four years of related work experience may substitute for bachelor’s degree· 
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, problem solving and research skills·      
• Excellent written and oral communications skills·      
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)·      
• Understanding of software systems from the user’s and technical perspective·    
• Minimum 5 years of experience in customer support in banking/lending software or similar industry·      
• Must work well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within abbreviated time constraints·     
• Additional hours may be needed during peak times and for software releases·      
• Prior experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational databases a plus·      
• Formal presentation experience a plus

Education / Certifications

Location

This position may work from any of the following locations:  Hybrid office schedule if within 75 miles of the Houston, TX or Richmond, VA office.  Remote with the ability to travel at least 5% from the following states:  Texas if more than 75 miles from the office location, Virginia if more than 75 miles from the office location, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Minnesota, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Utah.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday.  The daily schedule may vary from 7 am – 4 pm, 8 am – 5 pm or 9 am – 6 pm, and occasional afterhours or weekend work may be required.  Hours may vary or exceed 40 in any given week depending on the needs of the business.
