Systems Analyst

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location:  Hybrid at Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of computer systems and programs.  Prepare systems and program specifications, prepare test criteria and project control. Create software through coding and/or configuring. Develop and monitor policies, procedures and standards documents. Gain proficiency that enables 24 x 7 on-call support of systems. Write and execute scripts to control the execution of systems. Develop and coordinate the installation and maintenance of systems and program products. Supply technical support. Operate under general direction. Works with user management and user project leader to determine system objectives and solutions. Some latitude for independent actions and decision. May take the lead role for minor project work. Must exhibit strong basic technical skills and basic knowledge of IT practices. Personnel in this position may be assigned as the systems project leader for a specific systems project. ITIL Foundations certification is required of all Infrastructure personnel, Kohler Company will provide necessary training and testing.

Specific Responsibilities

•  Develop detail system and program specifications. Develop system documentation and user procedures.
•  Prepare test data. Coordinate/perform system and program testing. Coordinate/perform system and program implementation and modification.
•  Research systems and programs to determine causes of failure or poor operational performance; then define, test and implement detailed solutions.
•  Assist in providing inputs for project review meetings and management presentations, including general design review, project scheduling, test plan, system and program tactics and methods, system controls, procedures, documentation, and system implementation plan.
•  Learn and comply with systems development standards, procedures, guidelines, priorities, and schedules.
•  Develop personal competence in using standard methods, procedures, programming languages, and the variety of software development and testing tools employed at Kohler Co.
•  Provide positive contributions as a team member of systems projects. Learn to develop practical systems scopes that enhance the business function. Learn to provide quality within budget and schedule to meet objectives.
•  Provide analysis, counsel, and direction to personnel of operating units to analyze problems and develop solutions, as well as assure efficient operation of existing systems and programs. Maintain an understanding of business processes and the implications of computer systems on these processes.
•  Assist or solely direct, schedule, and coordinate the efforts of IT user and vendor personnel assigned to a specific systems project.
•  Prepare and publish systems project status reports.
•  Provide spirited, positive leadership when working on systems projects. Challenge obsolete practices; question accepted truths. Develop practical systems scope that enhances the business function. Control the project scope, resources, and quality within budget and schedule to meet objectives.
•  Participate in educational programs and professional societies involving analysis, leadership skills, and computing technology.
•  Conduct educational programs involving company personnel relating to specific projects.
•  Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Supply Chain or related field required. Under some circumstances Associate Degree in Information Technology and minimum 3 years’ experience will be accepted.
• 2 - 4 years systems and programming experience.
• The ability to read, write, and speak Mandarin, French or Mexican Spanish is a strong plus.

The salary range for this position is $77,400 - $97,800. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
