BAE Systems is seeking junior-level logistician to join our Minuteman Sustainment team for an exciting opportunity to support the readiness and sustainment of the US Air Force Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) program.
This position focuses on logistics support for ICBM infrastructure and equipment, highlighting areas of risk management, technical writing, strategy development, cross-team integration, and supply chain management. This is an exciting opportunity to get into the Defense industry!
As a junior-level logistician, you will be trained as you participate in supporting the MMIII Reentry Systems/Reentry Vehicle (RSRV) Sustainment efforts while working with engineers, senior technicians and logisticians who will help with expanding your mentorship opportunities and career development.
The anticipated workload will include the use of technical manuals, illustrated parts listings, and advanced mechanical/electrical specifications. The work will take advantage of the employee’s ability to perform research of technical material discrepancies and offer potential solutions. Training will be provided.
Job responsibilities include the following:
Become familiar with material and data flow within the production environment.
Rewrite, update, and validate/verify various USAF Manuals, Instructions, and Technical Orders.
Research parts, validate supply levels, record/track equipment usage, research historical maintenance data and help determine equipment supportability/sustainability.
Prepare/review proposals, presentations and technical documentation per customer requests.
Prepare meeting minutes, host virtual and in person meetings.
Work side-by-side with Supply Chain, Production and other support functions.
Support initiatives with non-Department of Defense organizations, such as the Department of Energy (DOE).

A minimum of a High school diploma.
Strong attention to detail, reading comprehension, and writing ability.
The applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. The criteria for obtaining and holding a clearance is set by the US Government.

A minimum of two years college or vocational training focused on science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics (STEM) fields preferred.
Knowledge of and/or experience with the Minuteman III ICBM system highly desired.
Current or recent (less than 2 years) DoD security clearance Secret or higher desired.
