Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery. Additionally, Systems Architect establishes, implements, and documents technology integrations or migration strategies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Systems Architect works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. The Satellite Systems Architect (SSA) is primarily responsible for architecting and designing tactical and enterprise communications solutions in support of contracts and task orders for DoD requirements. The SSA must possess cross-discipline skills in Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Systems and Systems Engineering methodologies such as DoDAF, INCOSE Standards and generally accepted industry best practices. The SSA will manage technical solution development for multiple technical proposals and technically support communications systems through integration, implementation, fielding and sustainment. A wide variety of communications systems with a satellite communications focus will be designed, integrated, and fielded, therefore, must be able to adapt to changing requirements, manage multiple technical tasks, interface with vendors and suppliers, and also provide detailed input to the technical proposal team.
The SSA will support the Trace Systems Business Development and Proposal organization in growing revenue and designing/developing solutions to help our customers solve mission oriented and technical challenges with core Trace and partner capabilities. This position must work well in a team environment and will play a central role in developing winning solutions from Capture Development through Proposal submission and award. The SSA will be able to lead development of both technology and personnel-focused solutions as well as the design of proposal and prototype solutions for staff augmentation and network solutions. The SSA will oversee inputs from a wide range of contributors including engineering, pricing, proposals, business development, project, and Executive personnel to facilitate development of a winning solution.
