Being a Systems Architect defines system solutions based on user needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery. Additionally, Systems Architect establishes, implements, and documents technology integrations or migration strategies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Systems Architect works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Sr. Director of System Operations, the Systems Architect role will lead the initiative on designing and developing an enterprise-wide strategy for scalability, integration, disaster recovery, and business continuity. The Systems Architect will play a critical role in designing, building, and documenting resilient system and application architectures that enable core business functions and assure their availability. This role demands expertise in system design, disaster recovery strategies, and a deep understanding of business continuity principles. The Systems Architect provides technical leadership across the organization, from strategic decision making down to the project planning level.
