Security Operations Analyst The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) is a corporate wide, strategic watch and warning mechanism to provide information to our client’s leaders to assist them in their decision-making process. The Security Operations Junior Analyst will monitor and analyze global situations and events and determine potential impacts on the business. The successful Analyst will think globally to understand trigger criteria, what is important to the Corporation and when potential impacts can occur.
Primary Responsibilities:
- The Analyst will be well versed in security incident response, mitigation, and recovery through education and/or job experience
- Monitoring, triaging, mitigating, reporting, and escalating to appropriate client personnel various security or emergency-related incidents with real or potential impact to client operations.
- Conduct ongoing reviews of numerous systems and sources to identify risks.
- Monitor traveler safety and security of the client’s employees and facilities.
- Evaluate information received from all available sources and respond with the appropriate communication and strategic messaging procedures.
- Follow established procedures for managing a variety of incidents, ranging from minor events to global crises.
- Provide backup and on-call support as needed.
- Receive and log incoming requests; document all incidents.
- Utilize multiple open-source data providers simultaneously to corroborate threat reporting and to validate proximity to client sites and personnel.
- Facilitate and participate in client’s crisis management processes and communications.
- Ensure procedures and protocols enable timely and effective response to incidents, alert notifications, calls and other activities related to the GSOC
Requirements:
- BS, BA, or equivalent experience in Security Analytics
- Experience with Analytics and Data Mining
- Demonstrated experience with Advanced Writing and Verbal skills
- Professional research experience and Geopolitical understanding
- Proficient with aspects of MS Office
