Switchboard Operator, Sr. operates a switchboard or telephone console to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls. Trains and guides other switchboard operators on daily activities. Being a Switchboard Operator, Sr. requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Switchboard Operator, Sr. typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May be entry level if some experience in the skill. Full Time 32 hours a week (RSWH)

Regional Hospital of Scranton is a 186-bed, acute care hospital nationally recognized for quality, especially in the areas of orthopedics, robotic surgery, cardiac care, stroke care, and neurology. Offering all private rooms, Regional is the first hospital in Pennsylvania to earn all four orthopedic certifications by The Joint Commission - hip fracture, and knee, hip, and shoulder replacement as well as advanced certification.

Experience/ Requirements:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Previous experience in switchboard operations (preferred)
- 2 years experience in customer service in a call center (preferred)
- Knowledge of PC hardware and software
