Responsibilities:
Answers all console calls promptly and courteously. Always projects an optimal image of the hospital, handling callers in a professional, courteous and helpful manner. Responds immediately to all notifications of emergency situations and follows current policy and procedure to notify all involved parties, such that: emergency phone answered on the second ring and proper announcement repeated the appropriate number of times. Gains a clear understanding of each callers request and process the call appropriately, sending the call to the correct destination on the first attempt. Demonstrates a thorough awareness and familiarity with information resources in the department by being able to locate the information within specified time frames: within 5 seconds - exceeds, within 15 seconds - meats, in greater than 15 seconds - does not meet. Screens all non patient long distance telephone calls not allowed by the extension's class of service. Follow current department policy and procedure.
Qualifications:
Candidate must have excellent customer service skills, and typing abilities.
