Switchboard Operator Reports to the Director, Network Services Pay$18/Hr. Responsibilities Include: • Ensures timely and professional responses to incoming switchboard calls; serves as first point of contact for current and potential customers, transfers calls to the appropriate party. • Supports various administrative processes, including but not limited to assignment of accounts, maintenance of account managers in system directories and updating customer catalog subscription changes, filing of bills, other projects such as testing phone numbers, and working with Microsoft Excel or Word documents. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with ability to create a document or simple spreadsheet. • Attention to detail in composing, keying, and ensuring customer call is transferred accurately • Customer oriented with ability to listen to and anticipate needs of the customer • Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities • Articulate with ability to express oneself clearly and professionally in written and oral communication • Interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization • Good listening skills with ability to receive information completely and understand what is being said
