Pages all emergency notifications, including cardiac arrests and rapid responses, and maintains the official hospital log. Monitors emergency radio, alarms, fire panels, and contacts security/engineering when trouble occurs. Pages and beeps hospital staff members.
High School graduate or GED equivalent. One (1) year as switchboard operator or phone customer service. Basic knowledge of multiple position telephone switchboard; computer; alarm systems. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Possess good telephone voice quality, clarity, and etiquette. Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations. Ability to keep information confidential.
