Being a Switchboard Operator monitors the phone system's efficiency and performs routine troubleshooting. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Switchboard Operator typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Switchboard Operator may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Responsible for providing prompt, courteous and effective response to all calls into Park Nicollet Health Services through the switchboard. This includes routing calls to appropriate departments, providing patient information, paging on call physicians, code processing, and related communication services. The incumbent will be expected to comply with all Head, Heart Together competencies as related to switchboard duties.
Work Schedule:
6:00am - 2:30pm w rotating weekends
