Swab Rig Operator is responsible for operation of the swab rig, crew, and equipment and for ensuring customer satisfaction with all services rendered. Ensures that all crew are at the swab rig and ready to work at scheduled time. Being a Swab Rig Operator maintains productivity standards for all rig functions. Maintains a safe working environment and ensures compliance of applicable regulations and policies. Additionally, Swab Rig Operator may require a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor or manager. The Swab Rig Operator supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Swab Rig Operator typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Description
The Bore Rig Operator requires experience with directional drilling or locating equipment on a drill rig for longer than six months, operating excavating equipment, drilling various types of soil - including rock, handling various types of pipe and PVC, and maintaining customer standards for installation no matter the circumstances. The Bore Rig Operator will also be expected to hand dig in various situations – including across located utilities, in highly congested areas, or in areas where equipment cannot access. They will also need to have knowledge of using a Vactron, and mixing bore mud products, or be willing to learn.
Qualifications
- Experience with directional bore rigs and locating
- Ability to effectively lead a crew
- Willing to travel when necessary
- Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a Class A CDL
