Additionally, Sustainability Analyst typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Sustainability Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. We’re seeking a full-time sustainability coordinator to be an integral member of our team. If you’re ready to make a difference and you meet the following criteria, we want to hear from you.
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Experience and Education- 3-5 years of experience with sustainable design in an architectural design environment is a plus
- A Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental science, architecture, engineering, planning, construction management, or a related field is required
- Experience with energy modeling, energy analytics, embodied carbon modeling and daylight modeling preferred
Responsibilities- Manage green building design and construction milestones
- Assist with development of sustainability documentation
- Assist with review of construction drawings for compliance with sustainability requirements
- Review construction submittals for compliance with sustainability requirements
- Develop and deliver presentations on an as-needed basis
- Participate in planning studies
- Travel, as required
Required Skills- Detailed knowledge of the LEED BD C rating system and sustainable design concepts.
- Demonstrated proficiency working with multiple sustainability frameworks, such as the LEED® Green Building Rating Systems (LEED-NC, LEED for Schools, LEED-EBOM, or LEED for Homes), the International Green Construction Code (IgCC), Green Globes, Earthcraft, NGBS, or Enterprise Green Communities.
- Work experience in design or construction industries.
- Ability to assist diverse members of a project team with sustainability strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment with little oversight.
- Relentless attention to organization, detail, and follow-through.
Software Skills- Microsoft Office
- Daylight and energy modeling (preferred)
- Embodied carbon modeling (preferred)
