YOUR ROLE
As a Sustainability Intern, you may engage in activities such as the following:
- Collaborate with the sustainability team in developing and executing a comprehensive retailer communication strategy to effectively convey the organization's sustainability initiatives to stakeholders.
- Assist brands in maintaining, expanding, and executing their sustainability strategies.
- Prepare and coordinate analysis of competitive and cross-sector sustainability initiatives for regional and global stakeholders.
- Monitor and track sustainability claims in the market, across sectors and competitors, analyzing the effectiveness of different sustainability messages, including consumer preferences.
- Create and maintain consumer insights database to improve the organization's understanding of consumer behavior in sustainability.
YOUR SKILLS
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in sustainability, environmental science or related discipline, including MBA, or have completed your studies no more than 6 months prior to the start of the internship, with a GPA of 3.2
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: Proficient in data analysis and interpretation, adept at extracting insights and trends relevant to sustainability initiatives, with a proven ability to use data effectively in making informed recommendations.
- Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated through the ability to effectively convey complex sustainability concepts to diverse audiences and create compelling presentations that engage and inform stakeholders.
- Collaboration skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, fostering open communication, sharing ideas, and collaborating towards optimal solutions.
- Project management skills: strong work ethic, with ability to successfully manage and drive independent projects, showcasing strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to meet deadlines autonomously; will ask questions and seek clarity when necessary.
The salary for this role is $25.00 - $35.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
