Sustainability Analyst jobs in Alabama

Additionally, Sustainability Analyst typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Sustainability Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Job Summary
The Director of Sustainability is an executive-level leadership role responsible for leading and coordinating sustainability efforts and initiatives throughout the organization. They will measure the organization's carbon footprint, identify reduction possibilities, implement action plans, and track progress. The Director of Sustainability will identify areas for improved environmental impact, manage costs associated with sustainability initiatives, and ensure that sustainability initiatives align with the overall brand and enhance the guest, club member, and team member experience. They will continually stay updated on sustainable best practices and establish initiatives in the areas of awareness and education, energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction (including food waste), and responsible sourcing.
Responsibilities
- Lead sustainability efforts and initiatives throughout the organization.
- Report sustainability key performance indicators (KPIs) at established intervals
- Identify inefficiencies or areas for improved environmental impact.
- Manage costs associated with sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge of sustainable best practices.
- Provide awareness and sustainability training for associates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Planning, Business Administration, Climate Health, Engineering, or one of the Physical/Natural Sciences; or equivalent. Post-graduate education (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in areas such as sustainability, climate mitigation and adaptation, policy development and implementation, program administration, or community engagement.
- Preferred qualifications include project management, public speaking, experience with sustainability and climate resiliency initiatives, and writing professional communications.
- Proven ability to provide operational direction and strategy development in the Responsible Business Leadership/Environment space.
