Surveillance Operator operates all surveillance computer equipment. Monitors all areas of the property and closely observes a target game, staff member, or customer. Being a Surveillance Operator ensures compliance with applicable gaming regulations. Reports improper activity or disturbances to supervisor or security team for further investigation. Additionally, Surveillance Operator may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Surveillance Operator may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. PURPOSE OF POSITION
Observes gaming and non-gaming operations to ensure compliance with established company, tribal, state and federal rules, regulations, policies and procedures, and standards. Reports violations and suspicious or unusual activity to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Reports Directly to: Surveillance Manager
Supervises Directly: None
Other Important Contacts: Surveillance Manager, Director of Operations, Security, Table Games, Cage, Slots, and other operating departments, Tribal Gaming, Tribal Police, vendors, and other State and Federal Agencies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with the investigation and documentation of gaming violations in conjunction with appropriate personnel.
Maintains an awareness of current regulations, controls, policies and standards for adherence and compliance with Federal, State, Tribal and company requirements.
Assists in placement and installation of surveillance equipment as requested by Surveillance Manager/Supervisor.
Assists in the maintenance of Surveillance equipment.
Maintains the security of designated areas and the confidentiality of all relevant information.
Works cooperatively and fosters teamwork by helping co-workers with essential functions.
Prepares necessary reports.
Completes and prepares departmental audits and special observations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift or carry upwards of 50 pounds.
Manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, personal computers, fax machine, photocopier, VCR’s, keyboard, monitors, switchers, sequencers, and quads.
Respond to visual and aural cues.
Operate in mentally stressful situations with composure.
Must be able to bend, kneel, reach, twist and grip from assigned work areas.
Must be able work in confined areas, containing multiple CCTV monitors.
Must be able to spend extended periods of time walking, standing, or sitting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and set goals.
Ability to handle difficult work situations with management and staff with diplomacy, and in a professional manner at all times.
Ability to document accurately.
Demonstrated computer skills including spreadsheets, database systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated 2 years casino experience, with an emphasis on casino surveillance, security, table games, slots, or equivalent work experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Nooksack Tribal Gaming Agency License and Class III Washington State Gaming License.
Must be willing to work non-traditional schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
