Surgical Neurophysiologist performs testing and monitoring of the nervous system during surgery to assist the surgeons in avoiding or reducing complications such as paralysis, hearing loss, or stroke. Conducts Electroencephalograms, Electromyographies, Somatosensory Evoked Potentials, Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials, direct nerve testing, and other modalities intraoperatively, and communicates findings to the operating room team. Being a Surgical Neurophysiologist typically requires a bachelor's degree in related area. Requires Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) from the American Board of Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists. Muskegon Surgical Associates is recruiting for a full-time Sterile Processing Technician to support our new Surgery Center that will be opening in early Summer of 2024. This position is located in Muskegon, Michigan.
Muskegon Surgical Associates, PC has been providing surgical care to West Michigan since 1972. We are an independently owned multi-specialty practice consisting of 13 surgeons and approximately 100 employees, and two locations in Muskegon. In early Summer 2024 we are also opening a new Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
The Certified Surgical Technologist handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. They have an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. They have the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.
