Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients as they arrive at the clinic
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or patient payments
-Perform basic billing actions like creating claims and entering charges
- Maintain patient records and update necessary information
- Assist with tasks such as faxing and scanning documents
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with eClinical Works EMR system and PowerChart preferred
- Previous medical office experience is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment
