Reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Additionally, Surgeon - Vascular may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Parkview Health is actively recruiting a full time Board Eligible/Board Certified Vascular Surgeon to join our full-service team in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The candidate will be joining 4 Cardiac surgeons with over 70 years of combined experience. Currently, over 550 open vascular cases and 100 EVARS /year are shared by 4 cardiovascular/thoracic surgeons one of whom will be transitioning to no call in 2024. Our 1300 peripheral catheterizations and 1000 peripheral interventions are currently shared by our interventional cardiologists, one of whom will be transitioning into no call/retirement in 2024. As we look towards the future, we will be integrating a fulltime vascular surgeon into our practice to continue serving the greater Fort Wayne area. A successful candidate would be willing to work collaboratively with cardiovascular surgery and interventional cardiology for the benefit of our growing community.
Our group is committed to the successful integration of specialized vascular surgical care into Parkview Health System.
Possible weekly work patterns would include 1 day lower extremity peripheral occlusive vascular clinic, 1 day elective vascular clinic (AAA, carotid, AV access, other) per week. 1 hybrid OR day and 2 open OR days per week.
Vascular surgery emergency call will be shared with the 4 current Cardiovascular surgeons. Overflow elective cases would also be shared with the current partners.
