TACOMA GENERAL HOSPITAL
Cascade Trauma and Acute Care Services (CTACS) is a seeking a full-time Trauma & Acute Care Surgeon to join our team. CTACS is a recently formed independent practice group of seasoned surgeons that staffs MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, a designated Level II trauma center in the South Puget Sound region.
CTACS is surgeon-led, formed to meet the increasing need for trauma and complex emergency general surgery in a large, rapidly growing region of Washington. We cover the full spectrum of Acute Care Surgery: Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, and Emergency General Surgery. Our eight current surgeons are board-certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Our team has a high-volume rib fixation program, active robotics program for both elective and urgent cases, and the practice is actively growing with support of key stakeholders. Patient complexity and acuity is high as Tacoma General Hospital is the tertiary hospital for the region. All subspecialities are available, and most are actively recruiting additional faculty. Some teaching of residents and students is involved, but we are not an academic center. Surgeons must have dual board certification/eligibility in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Our surgeons and Advanced Practice Providers are a tight knit group who value high quality care and a fun team environment.
Tacoma is in the south Puget Sound on Commencement Bay, located between Olympic National Park and Mount Rainier National Park. The area is well known by outdoor enthusiasts for hiking, kayaking, skiing, sailing, biking, camping, and much, much more. Pierce County is also a hub for the arts, the home of the Washington State Fair, and a vibrant social scene.
