Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats patients that have abnormal structures of the body caused by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors, or disease. Performs surgery to improve functions and to approximate a normal appearance. Being a Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Plastic Reconstructive may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to the chief of surgery. Requires a license to practice. Operating Room Nurse
Billings Plastic Surgery (BPS) is a practice that offers the entire spectrum of plastic surgery, a highly experienced and expert staff, and which provides a warm, friendly, family-like atmosphere to their patients.
The registered nurse is instrumental in the care provided to Billings Plastic Surgery. From the initial consultation through the patient’s final visit, the nurse provides patient education, fields phone calls, assists with procedures, and provides the care necessary to ensure the patient’s needs are met in the office, pre/post-operative setting, and the operating room. The Operating Room Nurse is the patient advocate and assures that quality care is administered.
