Surgeon - Orthopedic examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats musculoskeletal diseases and injuries. Performs surgical procedures to immobilize fractures by using corrective devices such as braces, pins, casts, and splints. Being a Surgeon - Orthopedic reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Orthopedic may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to a medical director. Requires a license to practice. As a surgical scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in office administration, medical receptionist duties, and proficiency in various scheduling software for an orthopedic office.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule appointments for patients using scheduling software
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure availability and proper allocation of resources
- Manage patient records and update information as necessary
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient needs and concerns
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth operations of the office
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus
- Proven experience as a scheduler or in a similar administrative role
- Proficiency in office software applications (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Familiarity with dental or medical office procedures and terminology
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
