Surgeon - Orthopedic examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats musculoskeletal diseases and injuries. Performs surgical procedures to immobilize fractures by using corrective devices such as braces, pins, casts, and splints. Being a Surgeon - Orthopedic reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Orthopedic may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to a medical director. Requires a license to practice. INTEGRIS Health Edmond is seeking a board certified or board eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join an established practice located on the hospital campus.
Located just off I-35, a few minutes north of Oklahoma City, INTEGRIS Health Edmond is part of INTEGRIS Health. We offer a state of the art, full-service hospital with 104 inpatient beds that include 32 private medical-surgical rooms, a 13-bed women’s unit, 10 intensive care suites and a 17-bed Emergency department.
The surgical department of the hospital includes and eight general surgical rooms and a dedicated C-section suite as well as an endoscopy and pain management procedure rooms with a 12-bed private pre/post op outpatient rooms.
As part of INTEGRIS Health we can bridge various disciplines and work with the physical therapists at Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
