Surgeon - Orthopedic examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats musculoskeletal diseases and injuries. Performs surgical procedures to immobilize fractures by using corrective devices such as braces, pins, casts, and splints. Being a Surgeon - Orthopedic reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Orthopedic may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to a medical director. Requires a license to practice. KORT is Kentucky's premier provider of outpatient physical and occupational therapy specializing in orthopedics, sports and industrial medicine. Since 1987, KORT has provided clinical and customer service excellence to patients in our clinics, at employer sites, and with high school, college, and professional sports teams.
The Physical Therapist evaluates, plans, and administers physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, muscle, nerve, joint and bone disorders or diagnoses to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability. He/She makes independent judgments regarding patient care and incorporates procedures into a workable treatment program without supervision. Also, he/she maintains communication with physicians, staff and general public, supervise PTA’s, technicians, students, and office staff; direct, participate in and present continuing education programs; and assume administrative/supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the clinic director. Full-time and part-time positions are available.
Compensation starting at $68,000 annual base, $4200 annually student debt relief program, and potential for $10,000 sign on bonus!
Additional staff and clinical development bonuses once hired.
Minimum Qualification:
This position requires a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an APTA accredited university
Professional Licensure in the State of Kentucky
Outpatient clinical rotation in lieu of outpatient experience within the last 5 years
CPR certification is mandatory
