Surgeon - Orthopedic examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats musculoskeletal diseases and injuries. Performs surgical procedures to immobilize fractures by using corrective devices such as braces, pins, casts, and splints. Being a Surgeon - Orthopedic reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Orthopedic may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Typically reports to a medical director. Requires a license to practice. > Hours: Monday, Wed, Thurs, Friday from 9 -1pm in our Lakewood office.
>The right candidate will have medical office and billing experience, verification of insurance eligibility and benefits experience. Must have experience following up on claims, collections and obtaining authorizations.
>Knowledge of EMR systems and a good working knowledge of Word and Excel is essential.
>Quickbooks experience is also preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
>Attention to details, reliability, good communication skills and a friendly personality is also essential. >Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
