Job description
We are seeking a hard working surgical assistant with interest in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Our highly regarded practice has served the greater Missoula and Western Montana area for over a decade. We pride ourselves in excellent patient care and are seeking a motivated individual who has a strong work ethic, is a team player, and who possesses excellent interpersonal skills.
We are looking for a Team Member who will work closely with Dr. Wiswell, the patient and the surgical team throughout the day, and during multiple interactions and surgeries. Surgical procedures include dental extractions, implant placement, trauma, biopsies, etc. Aside from surgical duties, this position requires clinical interaction with patients and their families, sterilization, and other supportive tasks. Continuing education is highly valued and paid for by the practice. Please expect to be in the surgical center for 40 hours per week, with overtime likely. We are looking to immediately fill a recent vacancy.

Training Responsibilities:
For the first couple of weeks upon hire, training with the Lead team, as well as with Dr. Wiswell is mandatory to learn all aspects of the position and methods of patient care and safety. You will be trained to be knowledgeable in medicine, anesthesia and surgery along with patient care and safety. The training period will be a 9am-5pm schedule Monday thru Friday with possible exceptions considered. After applicant is able to successfully fulfill the duties of the position, along with securing the Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) and Infection control (ICE) certification, we will do our best to move them to a more flexible schedule.
