Surgeon - Neurology examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats disorders of the brain, spine, spinal cord, and nerves. Operates on the brain in order to relieve pressure in an intracranial hemorrhage, remove a foreign body such as a tumor, treat a wound, or relieve pain. SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Foothills Neurology is a high paced neurology practice dedicated to providing high quality healthcare for patients with neurological conditions. The Administrative Nurse Supervisor will comprehensively manage day-to-day operations in the office, and is accountable for its successful operation including patient satisfaction, patient safety, and employee satisfaction.
The perfect candidate for this position would be working in partnership and collaborating with the medical director, the operations manager, and the financial officer, to ensure achieving the goal of providing efficient, effective, and patient-centered healthcare.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
-Leading a diverse team of administrative staff and medical assistants
-Interview, hire, and train staff as growth or vacancy occurs
-Conduct regular performance management duties including regular days with staff, coaching new hires, and annual evaluations and performance plans as needed
-Understands and occasionally performs both front office and back office, including patient check-in and registration, as well as back office patient flow and check-out
-Maintains work schedules for assigned staff, determining what is needed and adjusting as needed
-Supervises daily flow of the clinic ensuring that task and duties of assigned staff are completed
-Responds to provider request to investigate and solve problematic operational areas
-Will act as champion for all organization goals related to the practice, including patient and employee outcomes
-Will partner with the medical director and operations manager to implement initial and ongoing staff training and development, including recruitment and retention strategies
-Adheres to guidelines regarding timely completion of assigned duties, including but not limited to: incidental reporting, performance evaluations, and competencies
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Current registered nurse license and in good standing from the Arizona State Board of Nursing
-Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a medical environment, clinic, or healthcare setting
-Must have a valid drivers license and auto insurance, as driving from one location to another may be required
-Excellent leadership skills, critical thinking, and problem solving ability with conflict resolution and de-escalation
-Advanced knowledge of medical terminology
-Competent computer skills required, and EHR experience
-Fluent in the English language, Bilingual is a plus
-Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, nurses, staff, and providers
-Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging environment
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

-Must be able to lift, carry, and push 20lbs
