SUMMARY OF POSITION:

We are seeking an Acute Care certified Nurse Practitioner to work as an integral member of the Cardiothoracic Surgery team at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. The Nurse Practitioner will provide support in both the clinic and inpatient settings, managing pre and post op cardiac patients. The NP will be expected to perform procedures including central line/A line insertions, troubleshooting Swans, ECMO management, IABP management, and be comfortable titrating vasoactive medications. Prior experience in caring for cardiac patients either as a Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse is highly preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Master’s degree in Nursing
  
• Currently licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by State of employment
Basic Life Support (BLS)
