Position Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field. Two years of related work experience Must demonstrate strong foundational web development skills including HTML, CSS, Javascript and server side languages such as PHP, and an ability to work with multiple frameworks and languages. Experience with content management systems. Experience troubleshooting and resolving cross-browser behaviors and quirks. Experience contributing and managing code in a version control system, such as git. Ability to work cross-functionally with supervisors, unit staff and campus partners to ensure collaborative environment, coordinated efforts and maximized outcomes. Must learn quickly and demonstrate flexibility in the work environment. Exhibit strong attention to detail as well as the ability to effectively manage multiple assignments with different priorities and tight deadlines. Demonstrate creativity, integrity and passion for growing the brand of Oklahoma State University. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of current trends and best practices in front-end architecture including performance, accessibility, responsive design and usability. Familiarity with 508/WCAG 2.1 web accessibility guidelines. Experience with advanced XML manipulation including experience with Xpath, Xquery and XSLT is highly desirable. Experience developing themes, modules, or integrations with a Content Management System such as Wordpress. Experience using APIs to develop integrations and extend functionality. Familiarity using Apache/Linux web server/Docker environments for development. Experience using git to contribute and manage code in a team environment. Strong knowledge of web analytics and tools. |
