Perdido Beach Service (PBS) has a rare opening for an experienced and highly motivated Key Account Manager for our 3 companies (Perdido Beach Service, Wildhearts, Sky Surfer). This is a key role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in account management.
For over 40 years, PBS has provided beach services in Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and Perdido Key, focusing on superlative customer service and 100% satisfaction. Our services include beach rentals, watersports rentals, and through our affiliates, sailing cruises, dolphin tours, and parasailing adventures.
Expectations and Responsibilities:
- Develop, nuture, build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Responsible for driving sales growth and developing new business opportunities.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a high sense of urgency; responds quicks and effectively to everchanging needs of our clients.
- Effectively communicate and relate to all levels within and outside the organization to create and build positive and productive relationships.
- Ability to manager appropriate steps to get projects complete; has strong abilities to organize people and processes; can create a plan for resourceful workflow.
- Answer and respond to calls, emails and texts from property managers, owners, and guests regarding any concerns or questions about services we offer or situations that may arise (within our control) or regarding our employees.
- Design, order, inventory and distribute rack cards to properties, local restaurants, businesses, chamber of commerce, tourism offices, and welcome centers.
- Make weekly property visits to onsite managers and to off-site management companies who manage other properties for which we also provide contracted beach services.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales goal.
- Ensure communication with the owner and managers.
- Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as required to meet the needs of 3 companies.
Qualifications Required:
- Degree in hospitality, marketing or business management is required
- 3 years experience required in sales and/or account management
- Proven track record in account management, preferably in hospitality or business development industry
- Experience in account management and building long-term relationships with clients including the ability to negotiate and close deals
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with the local community (Perdido Key, Orange Beach, Gulf Shores)
- Strong knowledge of technology sales processes and strategies
- Resourceful, innovative, and forward thinking, with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google Workspace
- Strong leadership and interpersoanl skills
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
