Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator is responsible for both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing. Responsible for set-up, operation, and adjustment of SMT equipment. Being a Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. May be responsible for quality assurance and documentation. Additionally, Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Machine Operator I – Walton, KY
Location: Walton, KY
Term: Contract Position; 4 months (extendable)
Shift: 12 hour shifts, 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on schedules, every 8 weeks rotate night shift hours to day shift (6am-6pm; 6pm-6am)
Pay Rate: $18.25 per hour (based on experience)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Inspection of all machining centers
- Interpret inspection reports and convert to actions with the machining center
- Monitor equipment and record data to document the machining process
- Verify calibration of metrology equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance as required to meet maintenance schedules
- Understand GD&T/Blueprint drawings
- Participate and write NQs using appropriate software
- Train co-workers in proper equipment operations and maintenance procedures
- Active role in QRQC activities
- Perform other related duties as required
Physical/Environmental Scope of Position:
- Vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity are required for safety, direction, and the exchange of ideas in the industrial environment
- Must demonstrate the physical capacity to meet the demands of the “Heavy” Job Placement Assessment (JPA) as administered by St. Elizabeth Business Health Services
- Wear safety goggles for twelve hour periods
