Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator is responsible for both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing. Responsible for set-up, operation, and adjustment of SMT equipment. Being a Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. May be responsible for quality assurance and documentation. Additionally, Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position Details
As an Operator, you'll help us create quality products by preparing and performing tasks to set up, operate and monitor all components of the production line.- Set up, operate and monitor assigned machinery and equipment
- Read and interpret shop drawings in order to program equipment
- Perform quality checks to ensure finished product is produced within established deliverables
- Make necessary adjustments to equipment to meet product quality standards
- Troubleshoot common equipment and quality issues
- Meet daily productivity goals
- Inspects equipment for safety
- Operate overhead crane as needed to load and unload product
- Prepares orders for shipment
- Participation in continuous improvement
Experience/Skills- 1 Year experience operating relevant machinery/equipment in manufacturing environment
- Safety oriented
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- 1 Year experience operating a Forklift
- Overhead Crane experience a plus
- Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when needed
