As a Director of Healthcare Services, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
Develop and maintain written policies, procedures, and professional standards that govern the operation of the facility and RSA
Provide oversight and training to care staff
Review policies and procedures as needed and collaborate to make changes that benefit the organization
Perform routine inspections of the facility to insure compliance and best practices
Ensure to create an environment of fairness and compliance
Plan, organize, develop, and lead the overall work of Health Care operations in accordance with federal, state, and local laws
Recruit, hire, orient, train, supervise and retain qualified clinicians and caregivers
Ensure medical supplies/equipment are delivered and staff are trained on care procedures
Assess patient/client needs, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of satisfaction
Effectively manage financial resources related to the delivery of quality patient/client care
Ensure compliance of all federal, state, and local laws and HIPPA standards
A few must-haves for a Director of Healthcare Services:
Bachelor's or Graduate degree
Current Assisted Living Manager Certification in the state of Maryland
Computer Efficiency/Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Extensive knowledge of state and federal home health laws and regulatory standards
Excellent management, organizational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
