Supply Chain Manager manages the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs.     The Supply Chain Manager is responsible to work with the Supply Chain Partner on the daily execution of Supply Chain Management functions to deliver compelling cost, trade competency, capacity, and cultural alignment required for the assigned operating divisions and respective cost codes. The Supply Chain Manager ensures that all Supply Chain business metrics and charters are met and that Value Creation strategies are fully executed. The Supply Chain Manager ensures Value Leveraging principles, standards, and procedures are followed within department. The Supply Chain Manager initiates and nurtures productive and positive defined trade relationships and works synergistically with the Supply Chain Partner and other departments to solve cross-functional issues. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for fulfilling the core responsibilities and achieving the results defined in the Joint Charter shared between the Plant Market Partner, Supply Chain Partner, and the Plant Labor and Material Specialists. The Supply Chain Manager adheres to the Leadership Charter – works in team congruency with the True Difference Culture; demonstrates leadership consistent with the True North Leadership (TNL) Platform; assists in the maturing their Functional Platform. Demonstrates high levels of team function and ability to execute.

    • Partners with the Supply Chain Partner to fully mature the disciplines of the Plant Floor Platform
    • Matures all disciplines of the Supply Chain Platform
    • Leverages Mutual Gain Negotiation skills, principles, and strategies in all interactions to reach durable agreements
    • Aligns with the Supply Chain core principles, functional absolutes, relational absolutes, and strategies
    • Leverages value created by True Homes to achieve compelling value in assigned cost categories
    • Ensures sufficient trade partner capacity is in place to support assigned markets production pace
    • Ensures trade partners and crews have clarity on results expected and are competent to perform to established standards
    • Partners with Plant Labor and Material Specialists to initiate action to resolve systemic performance issues with Trade Partners
    • Ensures contracts for all active Trade Partner relationships including detailed Pricing Addendums and Quality Standards are current
    • Documents all Trade Partner expectations in Trade Agreements through Quality Standards, Trade Contractor Guidelines, Commitments of Conduct, or architecture drawings/details
    • Identifies, recommends, and implements new methods and materials that lower cost without sacrificing quality or perceived client value as directed
    • Maximizes hard cost reductions while maintaining positive business relationships
    • Performs other duties as needed or required

    Results/Accountability:

    • Works in team congruency with True Difference
    • Ensures leadership congruency with TNL Platform
    • Ensures Supply Chain and Plant Platforms are fully mature
    • Ensures that there are no variances due to purchasing errors, inaccurate or unclear pricing, or performance standards
    • Ensures that there are no costs due to product failures
    • Ensures that there are no schedule delays due to lack of trade capacity
    • Ensures that there is no lost production or variances due to inadequate training
    • Ensures Quality Standards are aligned with local building standards

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Bachelor’s degree Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or relevant field preferred
    • Three or more years of relevant work experience required
    • Two or more years of residential construction industry experience preferred
    • Background in technical sales, business, or manufacturing management preferred
    • Strong problem solving, persuasion, and negotiation skills required
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships
    • Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and reliable personal transportation required for frequent regional travel and occasional travel to Expansion Markets in NC and SC

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to traverse homes, residential communities, and ungraded lots

    • Ability to lift, up to 25 pounds without assistance

    Working Conditions:

    While performing the duties of this position, the associate will occasionally work in a professional office environment. This position regularly uses standard office equipment. The associate is also exposed to outside weather conditions, which may include wet and/or humid conditions, and extreme cold or extreme heat. The associate is frequently driving between job sites and to community office space.
