Supply Chain Manager manages the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. To be a Supply Chain Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     ASCI is looking for a self-motivated person who can thrive in a constantly changing environment to manage a small warehouse in Anchorage, AK.

    Ideally, this person would have at least 10 years of warehouse experience and be a veteran. This individual will have oversight of both procurement and inventory management, giving them the ultimate ability to ensure efficient warehouse operations.

    Minimum Qualifications : These are the minimum qualifications to be considered for this position.

    • Bachelors Degree or additional experience (4 years for full degree replacement)
    • 7 years progressively responsible experience in warehousing or inventory management
    • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
    • Ability to successfully pass background check
    • Veteran hiring preference

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

    • Provide subject matter expertise to client regarding more efficient materials management operations to ensure alignment with customer goals and economic drivers.
    • Assure all team members are kept abreast of client policies and procedures and ensure adherence.
    • Analyze and redistribute workloads within the team when needed so that customer materials expectations are met and no one team member is underutilized or overloaded.
    • Coordinate expediting requirements, troubleshoot and resolve any issue with missing material, shipping problems, and mismarked material.
    • Participate in continuous improvement process / teams, offering suggestions for process improvements and potential savings opportunities for the client.
    • Coordinate support activities with contractors as needed.
    • Ensure a smooth invoice resolution process is maintained and followed
    • Drive and instill development of personal resources down to the lowest level of the organization to enhance the overall expertise of the organization as a whole.
    • Execute supervisory duties by determining day-to-day work priorities and efficiently assigning. Ensure that supervised staff, are trained, monitored and motivated to achieve high levels of safety, customer service, and operating integrity.
    • Ensure correction of non-compliant activities, behaviors or processes with a mindset of eliminating defects and hazards.
    • Maintain and support both ASCI and client values in interactions with both customer and team.
    • Investigate all ASCI incidents and follow reporting / documenting protocols. Develop, document, track and close all action items utilizing client database(s) as well as ASCI incident reporting program.
