Supply Chain Director directs overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory, selection of vendors, and distribution of finished goods. Develops and implements a strategy to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Being a Supply Chain Director negotiates with vendors to obtain optimal contracts and pricing. Utilizes data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance and trends and forecast inventory and distribution requirements. Additionally, Supply Chain Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Supply Chain Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.   • MFUSED is seeking an adept Director of Supply Chain to oversee the intricate stages of our organization's supply chain, from purchasing raw materials to production. This pivotal role demands meticulous coordination to ensure that products arrive at the right time and are stored appropriately to prevent losses or damage throughout this complex process. This role will also involve oversight of the company manufacturing arm of the Company.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following but other duties may be assigned):

    • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive inventory control procedures, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products throughout the supply chain.
    • Coordinate closely with suppliers to procure raw materials and components in a timely manner, optimizing inventory levels to meet production requirements.
    • Oversee the storage and handling of inventory to prevent losses or damage, implementing best practices for inventory management and warehouse operations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan production schedules, ensuring the availability of materials to meet customer orders.
    • Monitor inventory levels and replenishment cycles, implementing strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
    • Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply sources.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain the accuracy and integrity of inventory records, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.

    ADDITIONAL ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and execute the organization's supply chain strategy, aligning with business objectives and market dynamics.
    • Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement, implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Monitor logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of goods and optimize transportation routes and modes.
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, replenishment schedules, and supplier performance metrics.
    • Train and mentor supply chain personnel, ensuring a skilled and knowledgeable workforce capable of meeting operational demands.
    • Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate operational risks.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop integrated business plans that support organizational growth and profitability.
    • Oversight of manufacturing operations within the company to ensure efficient operation.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead a team responsible for inventory control across multiple locations, ensuring cohesive operations and high standards of performance.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the supply chain team, encouraging proactive problem-solving and collaboration.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

    • Will be required to obtain certificates or licenses within 90 days of employment that are required to operate in existing markets. Additionally, will need to be able to obtain certificates and licenses in new markets as needed.
    • A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel as needed for business purposes.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a demonstrated track record of success in optimizing supply chain operations and driving business results.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
    • Importing/exporting experience.
    • Familiarity with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to supply chain management.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional areas and drive performance improvement initiatives.
    • Familiarity with cannabis regulations and compliance.
    • At least 21 years old.

    • Proven leadership and communication abilities, capable of effectively managing and motivating a team.

    • Analyze financial reports and adjust operations based on business needs.
    • In-depth knowledge of inventory control best practices and procedures.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
    • Adaptability and an appetite for innovation and change.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    This role will require travel and involve work in a cannabis production environment. Physical demands include sitting for extended periods, occasional lifting, and a willingness to adapt to changing work environments.
