The Director of Supply Chain is a key member of the operations team and is responsible for the overall strategy and execution of GEOTEK’s supply chain and inventory management operations, which includes Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, and Inventory Management. Responsibilities include ensuring material planning and delivery support a 24/7/365 manufacturing operation, onsite inventory management of purchased items, ensuring GEOTEK receives the best overall value (cost, lead-time, quality, and terms) for purchased items, and development of a robust and supply base (domestic and international) to mitigate risk and maximize flexibility. The Director of Supply Chain will lead the effort for alternate sourcing, material forecasting, supply agreement/contact negotiations, supply chain planning, and inventory management. Direct reports include a purchasing manager and an inventory manager. The Director of Supply Chain stays abreast of trending economic and business conditions within (and affecting) the supply chain, as well as industry best practices, adjusting and implementing the actions of the Supply Chain team as needed. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading supply chain teams in a manufacturing environment, and be proactive, detail oriented, agile, with a disposition towards continuous improvement.
