As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Logistics Manager to optimize our supply chain operations and enhance overall productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of skilled business professionals to meet customer demands and resolve various engineering and equipment requirements.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and exemplify a positive and encouraging work ethic within the organization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain by implementing streamlined processes and increasing productivity.
- Utilize data-driven decision-making to enhance accuracy and throughput throughout the logistics operations.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for shipping and receiving to minimize losses and ensure product integrity.
- Oversee and optimize shipping/receiving and purchasing departments to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Conduct cost analyses and establish benchmarks for improvement to enhance overall supply chain performance.
- Evaluate and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and identify areas for optimization.
- Identify and implement cost-effective solutions to enhance supply chain processes and reduce operational expenses.
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure more profitable deals and enhance partnerships.
- Lead inventory audits to maintain accurate inventory balances within the ERP system.
- Conceptualize and plan large-scale projects, anticipating and addressing potential operational challenges.
- Collaborate with management and other departments to identify and address operational gaps.
- Play a key role in a new ERP implementation, focusing on inventory modules to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. (preferred)
- Proven experience in logistics management, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and optimize supply chain processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
