Supply Chain Analyst monitors and expedites the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Coordinates with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain. Being a Supply Chain Analyst identifies bottlenecks or problem areas and escalates or proposes solutions. Works with suppliers to resolve issues. Additionally, Supply Chain Analyst may assist in the negotiation of contracts or service arrangements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Supply Chain Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     We are currently seeking candidates to fill a Supply Chain Analyst to support our Florence, South Carolina U.S. based facility.


    JOB SUMMARY

    The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for approving invoices by validating all charges from vendors, optimize and create logistics routes & pricing by continually reviewing established routes and delivery performance, establish comprehensive budgets taking all aspects of the business into consideration, track & development Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure optimal business performance. This role will be involved in improving processes and procedures in all Supply Chain Management disciplines (production planning, production control, inventory control, inbound & outbound logistics, material procurement, etc.)

    This role will perform root cause analysis and provide countermeasures for continuous improvement, lead projects from start to finish as assigned, and contribute to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


    The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished.


    • Manages in critical material supplier production capacity analysis, forecasting, ordering, and inventory control.
    • Validates all supply chain management invoice charges and send to management for approval.
    • Establishes, tracks and maintains financial budgets.
    • Implements improvements in processes, business relationships, etc. to reduce costs and improve competitive advantages.
    • Designs and implements methods to gather and manage supply chain data.
    • Reviews and analyzes gathered data to locate was areas in the supply chain process and develop methods to improve.
    • Researches partner companies and seeks to negotiate best-price contracts to increase business revenue.
    • Plans and implements supply chain optimization projects.
    • Oversees FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) compliance and daily reporting to ensure compliance.
    • Maintains a friendly and professional relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives and values.
    • Assists in promoting a positive image and inter-business relationship with business partners and vendors.
    • Seeks to improve all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current methodology and processes.
    • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards.
    • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards.


    OTHER JOB DUTIES (Not considered essential to the job)

    • Performs all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education and Experience):

    Minimum Qualifications -
    Experience

    • Minimum of five years of related experience in a professional business atmosphere.
    • Knowledge of inventory control processes and procedures.
    • Understands statistical analysis, parts forecasting methodologies, and associated system software.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Basic understanding of principles, concepts, practices and standards related to supply and logistics system information management.
    • Experience analyzing supply chain data and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
    • Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and others relevant to company processes.
    • Professional communication skills are essential when conversing and negotiating with vendors.
    • FTZ compliance/management experience preferred, but not required.


    Education:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related degree is preferred as well as supply management certification and automotive industry experience.


    Computer Skills and Required Software Experience:

    • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP or similar ERP


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


    The physical requirements described below are representative of those an employee must normally meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.     • Ability to remain in stationary position 75% of the time.
    • Ability to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

    • Ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 20 pounds.
    • Ability to bend, lift and/ or twist.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
