Subrogation Specialist jobs in South Carolina
Subrogation Specialist is responsible for subrogation activities including the identification and research of subrogation claims. Assists in the recovery of overpayments for duplicate coverage, workers' compensation, and no-fault claims. Being a Subrogation Specialist identifies legal liability and pursues, negotiates, and settles subrogation collection. Researches paid claims, answers inquiries, and coordinates with other departments, insurance adjustors, attorneys, and members. Additionally, Subrogation Specialist interacts with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and underwriters to recommend and document the necessary information to close a file. Collects information needed to determine when an on-site investigation is necessary. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Subrogation Specialist works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. We're looking for a candidate with at least one year of medical administrative experience in healthcare whose duties will include:
Verifying insurance benefits and working with insurance companies to obtain authorizations
Managing prescription requests and completing medication prior-authorizations
Communication with Financial Counselors and insurance carriers
All other administrative and clerical tasks as needed
Must be well organized, have excellent communication and customer service skills and have the ability to multitask and work well in a team environment. This is a full-time position of approximately 36 - 40 hours per week in our Daniel Island, SC office.
Coastal Fertility Specialists consists of five clinical and two administrative offices. We have over 100 employees including NP's, RN?s, 5 physicians, and a complete embryology team all driven to be the best Reproductive Endocrinology practice in the southeast. So far we have won 3 consecutive national patient satisfaction awards and have pregnancy rates in the top 10% of the country. We pride ourselves in employee satisfaction and have very low employee turnover.
