Subrogation Specialist jobs in New Orleans, LA
Subrogation Specialist is responsible for subrogation activities including the identification and research of subrogation claims. Assists in the recovery of overpayments for duplicate coverage, workers' compensation, and no-fault claims. Being a Subrogation Specialist identifies legal liability and pursues, negotiates, and settles subrogation collection. Researches paid claims, answers inquiries, and coordinates with other departments, insurance adjustors, attorneys, and members. Additionally, Subrogation Specialist interacts with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and underwriters to recommend and document the necessary information to close a file. Collects information needed to determine when an on-site investigation is necessary. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Subrogation Specialist works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. SubroIQ is seeking a Subrogation Business Analyst as we continue to grow our team. This is a unique position in which you'll leverage your current subrogation knowledge to help address our clients' questions, comments, or concerns to help make data-driven decisions so we can continually exceed their expectations
Job Responsibilities:- Presenting data to key stakeholders
- Responsible for digging into our data and processes, finding inefficiencies, and making sure we’re providing world-class service in all facets of our operation.
- Uncovering potential issues before they occur
- Prior SQL experience
- Commercial Property Insurance background required
- Self motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Professional written and communication skills
- $50,000 - $55,000 per year (depending on experience)
- Benefit package with health, dental, vision, life and disability coverage options
- 401(k) retirement plan option with company matching
- Generous paid time off policy - start with 18 days per year
- Paid holidays immediately upon hire - 7 standard holidays & 2 floating holidays of your choice
