Subrogation Specialist is responsible for subrogation activities including the identification and research of subrogation claims. Assists in the recovery of overpayments for duplicate coverage, workers' compensation, and no-fault claims. Being a Subrogation Specialist identifies legal liability and pursues, negotiates, and settles subrogation collection. Researches paid claims, answers inquiries, and coordinates with other departments, insurance adjustors, attorneys, and members. Additionally, Subrogation Specialist interacts with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and underwriters to recommend and document the necessary information to close a file. Collects information needed to determine when an on-site investigation is necessary. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Subrogation Specialist works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. About the team:
As a Subrogation Processor, you’ll play a key role in facilitating the recovery process of a claim, which includes contacting outside parties to collect or pay subrogation demands and negotiate a final settlement.
This position requires the candidate to work closely with our claims team, clients, and all related parties to obtain the necessary information to create subrogation recovery opportunities, coordinate the development of evidence to support subrogation recoveries, and pursue these recoveries in accordance with legal statutes, policy provisions, and client handling guidelines. You’ll manage an inventory of subrogation claims ranging from coverage, auto, and property damage. Determining the best course of action for resolution, you’ll work with attorneys, internal and external customers, and businesses.

The Phoenix base salary target range for this full-time position is $20.87 an hour equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
