Student Activities Director jobs in Sunland Park, NM

Student Activities Director directs and oversees the development and organization of the university/college's extra-curricular programs including special events. Sets up social events and has a participatory role in the Greek system, the student government, and student run clubs. Being a Student Activities Director approves funding for various student activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Student Activities Director typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Student Activities Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Student Activities Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Work Study Campus Activities Staff

    Must be able to set-up tables and chairs.
    Must be able to work odd hours including weekends and evenings.

    Experience setting up sound systems and microphones.

    Primary Responsibilities
    • Setting up conference center and meeting rooms for events. Assisting with events all over campus.
    • Setting up tables and chairs in the Morgan University Center, First Floor Foyer;
    • Setting up computers, projectors, sound, lighting, speakers and etc.;
    • Supervising the Game Room, have guests sign-in/out, have guests sign-in/out game room equipment;
    • Setting up, helping, executing and striking Sully Productions events;
    • Helping with Presidential and important annual events such as Commencements, Hall of Honor, New Student Orientations, Sully Showcase and Convocation

The report also contains fire statistics for any fires occurring in an On-Campus Student Housing Facility during the three most recent calendar years.
