Student Activities Director directs and oversees the development and organization of the university/college's extra-curricular programs including special events. Sets up social events and has a participatory role in the Greek system, the student government, and student run clubs. Being a Student Activities Director approves funding for various student activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Student Activities Director typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Student Activities Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Student Activities Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The non-negotiables:
- A bachelor's degree is required; master's degree preferred
- 1 year of supervisory experience, including performance management, collaboration, and conflict resolution
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance
What you'll be doing:
- Oversee the Nexus program, a unique and innovative concept in memory care, supporting an active, brain-healthy lifestyle for individuals living with the early stages of dementia. The Nexus Neighborhood program combines Silverado’s development, partnering with all departments within the community, to implement, develop, and deliver resident programs. It will also include managing the budget and spending
- Supporting the branding, sales and marketing of the Nexus Neighborhood. This may include conducting in-services on various topics related to dementia and Nexus
- Conduct or co-market on sales calls with professionals including physicians, geriatric care managers, etc
- Ensure seamless team management and development
