Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Student Activities Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary:
    Ormsby is looking for someone who has a kind approach with the elderly, is a good listener, can build rapport easily, and has good communication skills.     Essential Functions:
    • Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents.
    • Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules.
    • Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis to provide:
      • A friendly visitor.
      • Sensory stimulation.
      • Reality orientation.
      • A means of meeting individual needs as outlined in each resident’s Activity Plan.
    • Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel for purpose of assistance in transporting residents to and from general activity areas.
    • Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas
    • Preferred: Activities Director Certification
