Student Activities Director directs and oversees the development and organization of the university/college's extra-curricular programs including special events. Sets up social events and has a participatory role in the Greek system, the student government, and student run clubs. Being a Student Activities Director approves funding for various student activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Student Activities Director typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Student Activities Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Responsibilities: Responsibility for developing, planning, implementing and
evaluation activity programs for residents in accordance with state and federal
regulations. Ensure that the spiritual, emotional, recreational, leisure and
social needs of the residents are maintained on a group and individual basis. Qualifications: • CTRS, MMT, or AT preferred. • Must have RAC and be in good standing, if
not a CTRS, MMT, or AT. • At least 1 year of experience working in the
Activities Department in a healthcare setting. • Must have the ability to read and write in
English and follow oral and written directions. • Must have a genuine interest and caring for
the elderly. • Must be able to relate positively to
residents and family and to work cooperatively with other employees. • Must be capable of maintaining regular
attendance. • Must meet all federal, state and local
health regulations and pass a post-employment-offer physical exam. This
requirement includes drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference
inquiries. • Must be able to perform the essential
functions of this job, with or without accommodation. • Must be aware of the recreational needs of
